Backyard Bliss
Signs of spring are cropping up everywhere here in South Carolina. Flowers are starting to bloom – daffodils, crocuses, and forsythia splash their colors across the drab landscape. Peeper frogs are emerging to sing in their mates while the red maples start their budding. Smells of petrichor pervade as the warmer rains displace the cooler ground temperatures stimulating our olfactory senses. To bird-lovers, hummingbirds are often their favorite sign that spring has sprung and producing a backyard bliss for their enjoyment is very important.
